The Britannia Association Charitable Trust
endeavours to raise funds for the good of its members and the naval
college in a number of ways
Please consider how you may help - thank you.
Since the establishment of the Britannia
Association many grants have been given to BRNC
to fund the construction of 2 rowing gigs, art works in the main
corridor, and the establishment of the Britannia Association Common
Room, J80, Sandquay PA System, Refurbishment of Eastgate Lodge.
Members help fund the association and its
objectives through either subscribing annually or as life members.
Some plan to leave a bequest or make generous gift. Gift Aid is
applied where possible to help maximise funds received.
As the Britannia Association is registered as a
charity, its activities are limited to those that directly support
its charitable objects. That does not include the profitable
provision of products and services to members, or indeed to others.
To do that the Association has to set up a company, which it owns,
and which gift aids its profits to the charity. If it gives all its
profits to the charity it makes no profit, and therefore pays no
tax. That Company is Britannia Association Ltd (BAL), is currently dormant.
